2010 Charity Grants Programme

 

The Exotix Charity Grants Programme 2010 is now open for applications.   The closing date for all submissions is 30th July 2010.

 

We seek to support a number of UK registered charities operating in countries where we work, and specifically countries in sub-Saharan Africa including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Uganda, Liberia, Democratic Republic Congo, Rwanda, South Africa, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan; central and Latin America including Cuba, Argentina and the Caribbean Islands such as Grenada, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Dom Rep; Eastern Europe including Bosnia, Albania, Ukraine; the Middle East including Iran, Iraq, Yemen and Pakistan.

 

We will support charities working with children, families, communities and organisations supporting wildlife and conservation.

 

The size of grant available is up to a maximum of US$30,000 and will be awarded in January 2011 for use during that calendar year.

 

To be eligible to apply for a grant, we have established the following criteria, and application process.  You must be able to demonstrate that you are eligible to apply within the following criteria:

 

CRITERIA FOR INITIAL SELECTION 

  • UK and/or US registered charity with annual revenues of up to £10 million
  • Project-based work in any of the countries outlined above;
  • Availability of 2009 published annual accounts
  • Applications for funding should not exceed US$30,000 but can be less
  • We seek to be the major funder of specific projects
  • We do not provide general funding or administration only funds
  • We will not fund projects retrospectively
  • We prefer to fund grassroots community projects with local impact
  • Your organisation has not been/will not be in 2010 a beneficiary of the ICAP annual charity day

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

If you wish to apply for funding, please send us a proposal of no more than 4 sides of A4 (point size no less than 11) which must include the following information: 

  • Background to the organisation
  • Project proposal including proposed outputs and deliverables
  • Full budget including (any) core costs
  • Monitoring and evaluation process
  • Branding opportunities for Exotix (if there are any)
  • PR and marketing opportunities for Exotix (if there are any)

 

We will advise you whether or not your application has been shortlisted by the end of September.   Final selection of charities will take place by the end of October and we will inform successful applicants in mid-November.  Funds will be released in January 2011.

 

Your proposal should be accompanied by your most recent set of accounts, and sent by 30th July to:
