David Aserkoff

David Aserkoff, CFA joined Exotix in October 2009 as the firm's first Strategist. He has been following emerging debt and equity markets for more than ten years of his fifteen plus years in the financial markets. Before joining Exotix, he was the Head of Equity Derivative Research and the Chief Market Strategist for Renaissance Capital in Moscow. He worked as a prop trader at BNP Paribas in London. He also was a founding partner of MT Thaler Investment Management (UK) and a portfolio manager of the MT Thaler New Europe Fund. The New Europe Fund was the HFR 2006 Emerging Market Hedge Fund of the Year. The fund was a multi-asset class, absolute return fund focused on Emerging Europe and the CIS. Before starting MT Thaler, David joined the First Boston Corporation in New York and spent 10 years at CSFB where he was a top-ranked EMEA equity strategist. He graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics from Columbia University in New York and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1998.
