Javier Andres

From 2007 to 2011 Mr. Andres worked for MIZUHO INTERNATIONAL PLC as a Director within the Alternative Investment Group which focused in Energy M&A opportunities and asset backed lending in Europe and LatAm. In March 2011, Mr. Andres was responsible of the execution of the disposal of the largest single-stage wind energy project in Latin America (396MW). From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Andres worked at IG EXPANSION, a Spanish venture capital boutique. Among notable Latin American investments, Mr. Andres was instrumental in the successful Preneal Mexico investment, where he was responsible for leading and pursuing the origination and development of several wind energy projects in Mexico. Mr. Andres participated actively in the foundation of the Mexican Wind Energy Association (AMDEE). Mr. Andres started his career in 2000 in SCHRODER SALOMON SMITH BARNEY (CITIGROUP) where he worked as an analyst for the Investment Banking division within the Mergers and Acquisitions team for the European Telecommunications sector. Mr. Andres holds degrees in Law (1999) and Business Administration (2000) both from ICADE (E-3).
