Equity Analyst

Ato Arku joined Exotix in October 2008 as a Ghana equity analyst. Prior to joining Exotix, he worked for Ghana’s leading stock broking firm, Merban Stockbrokers Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Merchant Bank Ghana Ltd. At Merban, aside from the demands of writing research reports for clients, Ato helped grow the company’s customer base, especially its foreign investor clients, and assisted in the development of investment products for its retail clients. He has also been involved in the preparation, research and marketing of several IPOs in Ghana, notable amongst them the US$18mil and US$30mil raised for Ghana Oil Co. Ltd (GOIL) and SIC Insurance Co. Ltd. (SIC) respectively. He coordinated several stock market visits with one of the latest being that for Bono, the celebrated Irish rock star and activist and his DATA (Debt, Aid, Trade, Africa) organization and Tom Brady, an NFL quarterback. Ato is a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School where he majored in Accounting.
