Ghassan is responsible for credit research on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at Exotix, with a focus on high yield and distressed situations. His regional company-specific ideas and macro views are frequently quoted in Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Financial Times, and he is a regular guest on CNBC. He joined Exotix from Dubai-based SHUAA Asset Management, where he served as a MENA-focused Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst. Prior to SHUAA, Ghassan was a Research Associate at Vaughan Nelson Investment Management in Houston, TX, where he spent 3 years working with a value-focused buyside team managing USD5 billion. Ghassan began his career as an Analyst with Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division in Chicago. He is a CFA charterholder and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Business Honors and Finance.
