Following the commencement by Exotix of its Sub-Sahara Africa stockbroking business in 2006, Phil Cain became one of Exotix's equity traders/dealers. Phil joined Exotix in August 2000 as head of settlements. Before joining Exotix, he worked as a Closer for 6 years in the Transactions Management area of the Emerging Markets Department at ANZ, London and the Emerging Markets Department of BNP, London. Phil has extensive experience of emerging market debt trading and settlement having arranged for the transfer of North Korea loans in order to set up the NK Debt Corporation securitisation programme at BNP and helped on the settlement side to set up the Serbia Foreign Currency Savings Bond securitisation programme at Exotix. He is now applying his considerable experience to trading African equities.
